VARSITY LOVER reared in the stalls, was taken out of the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. RUSH HOUR GIRL jumped awkwardly and bumped IN THE STARS who took an awkward stride. In view of the report from the Starter regarding VARSITY LOVER, Trainer Bass-Robinson will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate was withdrawn. Jockey Veale, rider of IN THE STARS reported that after being bumped at the start and taking an awkward stride, this filly took no interest in running. Trainer Drier was requested to report back on the condition of this filly on return to the stables. EVELINA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: IN THE STARS - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: VARSITY LOVER - injured in the stalls, withdrawn at the start.
