BANJO ON MY KNEE lost one length. STORM RULER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HYAKU returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. BANJO ON MY KNEE returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. Apprentice Ferraris the rider of LUCIUS FOX reported that as a result of jumping too well from the starting stalls, he was unable to settle this gelding and race him with cover as per his instructions. These instructions were confirmed by Trainer Gadsby. As a result LUCIUS FOX compounded in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. BIG SI jumped inwards at the start, making contact with BANJO ON MY KNEE resulting in BANJO ON MY KNEE becoming cramped and unbalanced, losing position. HYAKU was hanging in over the final 400 metres. HYAKU and DOM SEGUIDOR brushed on a number of occasions between the 300 and 150 metre marks. In view of the performance of CIPHER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: LUCIUS FOX - not striding out right hind. CIPHER - nothing obvious detected. SOUTH PAW - mouth injury. Scratched: COSMIC KNIGHT - coughing. NOBLE JOSHUA - injured in transit.
