QUARLLO broke through the front gate, was immediately restrained, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was reloaded. BLUE ROLLER jumped awkwardly with its head up losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the report from Starter regarding QUARLLO and BLUE ROLLER, Trainers Botha and Robinson was advised to have their geldings re-schooled before their next engagement. ASTRAPI was squeezed out shortly after the start. SKIDOO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LOVE TO FLY raced fitted with alumite bar shoes in front and alumite behind.
