ROYAL CAVALIER was stubborn loading. COYOTE GIRL threw its head down as the start was affected, jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with the hindquarters of TROPICAL'S SON which jumped out. The Stipendiary Board called a race review into the start with regard to COYOTE GIRL in stall gate 5 and established that this filly had dropped her head as the start was affected which resulted in her head making contact with the front gate as she jumped. The Board was of the opinion that this impediment was as a consequence of COYOTE GIRL's own behaviour and therefore took no further action. SCOOP proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. When taking this gelding's previous history into consideration, he was suspended until such time as he proves tractable cantering to the start on a race day. SCOOP was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SUGOI raced unshod. Vet: COYOTE GIRL - speedy cut right hind. ELBI - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: SUMMER AFTERNOON - swelling left front.
