CAPTAIN'S TREASURE had to be re-saddled causing a delay. ELLE VA reared and turned around in the stall and was stuck for some time. The field was taken out and then ELLE VA was freed and taken out. The Veterinary Surgeon scratched ELLE VA causing a further delay. CAPTAIN'S TREASURE was fractious in the starting stalls. IN THE STARS which was stubborn and fractious loading, was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the above reports from the Starter regarding ELLE VA, IN THE STARS and CAPTAIN'S TREASURE, Trainers Kannmeyer, Drier and Kotzen was advised that their fillies' starting stall certificates were withdrawn. In view of the performance from SUGERPOVA which tired quickly from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Trainer Ramsden was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the filly's condition on her return to the stable. REBELS SPIRIT was hanging out from the 300m. CAPTAIN'S TREASURE was tightened for galloping room and eased at about the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. CELESTIAL STORM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPTAIN'S TREASURE - kicked the back gates in the starting stall, was examined and declared fit to race. CAPTAIN'S TREASURE - returned blowing. SUGERPOVA - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. WINTER FIVE - returned with abrasions on the left shoulder. Scratched: PRINCESS VICKY - foot sore. ESTIMET - under 8 days suspension. ELLE VA - injured in starting stalls, was withdrawn.
