BARISTA broke through the front gates, dislodged Jockey Zechner and bolted. All the horses that had already been loaded were taken out of the starting stalls until BARISTA had been brought in hand and taken off the course. Thereafter, once the reloading process had commenced, TAKATUL, which was restless in the stalls, was taken out of the starting stalls, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. These incidents caused a significant delay to the start of this race. BARISTA broke through the front gate, dislodged Jockey K Zechner and bolted. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding was withdrawn. TAKATUL was restless in the stalls. APPROACH CONTROL was slow, losing 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to BARISTA, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. Suspension dates: 7 December 2018 to 13 December 2018. BARISTA may not be presented for repassing during this period. At approximately the 1000m DASVIDANIYA had to switch out to avoid running on the heels of NUTURAL ABILITY, which was over-racing in the early and middle stages. In the concluding stages GLITTER PATH, which rolled out, and TAKATUL, which rolled in, came together and brushed. APPROACH CONTROL and SHANGHAI TANG were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KING WINTER raced equipped with a tongue tie. NUTURAL ABILITY raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: KING WINTER - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: BARISTA - bolted. HIGHWAY EXPRESS - coughing.
