DR HENRY rushed the front of the stalls. Removed, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and scratched. Stable Employee C Olivier advised to re-school this gelding. CALL TO DUTY reared in the stalls. Removed, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and scratched. GREAT CRUSADE lost 1 length. MIGHTY GEMINI and BORN TO PERFORM were both slow into stride. BORN TO PERFORM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BLESSINGTON shifted in slightly approaching the 1400 metre mark resulting in ALFIERI who was over-racing, being eased. Jockey de Melo the rider of BLESSINGTON appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to allow more room to his inside when shifting ground in races in future. GREAT CRUSADE over-racing shifted out off the heels of DARE TO TRUST near the 1200 metre mark and thereafter was eased. MIGHTY GEMINI was hanging out throughout. Jockey Brown the rider of STEAM HAMMER reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in the closing stages. In view of the Starter's report with regard to CALL TO DUTY this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable in the starting stalls with a companion. Suspension dates: 7.12.2018 - 13.7.2018. CALL TO DUTY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. CALL TO DUTY and GREAT CRUSADE raced fitted with ear-muffs. Vet: STEAM HAMMER - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ISIKHETO - respiratory tract infection. CALL TO DUTY - reared in stalls -injured head. Scratched by the Veterinary Surgeon at 18:31:57 (NHA).
