VAN HALEN was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. The off time was rescheduled due to the delay in Race 6. Jockey Zackey, rider of VAN HALEN reported that this gelding took no interest in running. In view of the performance from SACRED ARROW, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. SOQRAT (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MAJESTIC MOZART raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: VAN HALEN and SACRED ARROW - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. MAJESTIC MOZART - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: CROWN GUARDIAN - lame on the right hind.
