The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the 30 minute interval. COPPER TRAIL was nervous in the stalls. LE GRAND ROUGE reared as the start was affected, losing many lengths. CAPTAIN PARKER was slow into stride. The start of this race was reviewed by the Stipendiary Board regarding LE GRAND ROUGE drawn in stall gate 4 which reared as the start was affected. After reviewing the patrol film of the start and in consultation with the starter the Board took no further action. In view of the Starter's Report LE GRAND ROUGE's starting stalls certificate was withdrawn is to be re-certified tractable in the starting stalls prior to racing again. Jockey Maujean reported that ALAMITO BAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. FORT WINTER was hanging in over the final 200m and thereafter Jockey Penny accidentally dropped his crop passing the 100m. ZEVENASTIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ZEVENASTIC - speedy cut left fore, bilateral epistaxis, 60 days suspension. ALAMITO BAY and FORT WINTER - abnormal respiratory noise.
