THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE LATE SCRATCHING OF LIGHTNING PARCADOR WHICH REFUSED TO LOAD. THE STARTER REPORTED A) TAKATUL was stubborn loading. B) WINTER CHORD was stubborn loading and was slow into stride. C) ELECTROMAGNETIC was slow away and lost 2 lengths. D) LIGHTNING PARCADOR refused to load and was withdrawn by the Starter. The starting stall certificate for this gelding is withdrawn. E) THRONG was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) In view of the Starter's report with regard to LIGHTNING PARCADOR (X Ndlovu), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 28/11/2020 to 04/12/2020 both days included. LIGHTNING PARCADOR may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S B Kotzen was advised. B) Leaving the 200m, ELECTRONMAGNETIC (L Bester) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the outside of STORY OF MY LIFE (M V'Rensburg) which shifted out away from SCARBOROUGH FAIR (S Khathi). E) Apprentice L J Ferraris signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse SELAILAI more than 12 times in the entire race (fourteen (14) times).
