During the loading process, ANIMAL LOVER (AUS) had to be taken out of the starting stalls after the Monty Robert blanket had slipped. This had to be refitted to this filly which caused a delay to the start of this race. During the loading process, the Monty Roberts blanket fell behind ANIMAL LOVER (AUS) resulting in this filly becoming restless. She was removed from the stalls, the blanket was refitted and she was reloaded. Thereafter ANIMAL LOVER (AUS) jumped slow losing one length. MUSETTE lost one length. FARIHA (AUS) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. In view of the performances of SILVER THURSDAY and FARIHA (AUS), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with THE SASH in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. Approaching the 200m, SILVER THURSDAY was brushed out by MUSETTE which rolled out. GOTTALOTTALUV was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: FARIHA (AUS), SILVER THURSDAY and THE SASH - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. SAND PRINCESS - abnormal respiratory noise.
