CASUAL DIAMOND cast the right fore shoe on the way to the start, which the farrier replaced causing a delay. NOUS VOILA was reluctant to load and restless in the stalls. ANGEL'S TRUMPET was slow losing five lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. MARCH MUSIC dropped her head as the start was effected losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. VARSITY LOVER was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. DYNAMIC DIANA was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the report from the Starter regarding ANGEL'S TRUMPET, Trainer Snaith was advised that this filly's starting stall certificate was withdrawn. In view of the report from the Starter regarding NOUS VOILA, Trainer Mrs Bass-Robinson was advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. Jockey Marcus, rider of NOUS VIOLA reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. In view of the performance from ANGEL'S TRUMPET, which trailed the field throughout, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Trainer Snaith was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the filly's condition on her return to the stables. DYNAMIC DIANA was hanging out from the 400m and switched out for a clear run at the 250m. MARY O' REILLY was baulked for a clear run between the 400m and 200m. CLOUDS UNFOLD and JUNIPER SPRING were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CASUAL DIAMOND - declared fit to race after the right fore shoe was replaced at the start. CASUAL DIAMOND - returned having cast both front shoes in running. ANGEL'S TRUMPET and NOUS VIOLA - examine post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. MARY O' REILLY - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. BOSS BABE - returned coughing. Scratched: GOODTIME GAL - abscess on the left hind.
