THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) WYLIE'S WONDER (*M H Zuma) and HARPER'S DREAM (*J Gates) were squeezed out shortly after the start. b) At the 600m, PREFERENTIAL (A Marcus) elected to race around the field and to the front entering the straight. Thereafter, at the 250m, this filly shifted out away from the crop. c) At the 250m, TREASURED PEARL (A Arries) when being eased out the Race, was momentarily inconvenienced on the heels of SACRED IBIS (*J Mphanya) which rolled inwards marginally. d) In view of the performances of KAVIAN'S CARA (*T Gumede) (10.00 lengths, 10/1 in the betting) and TREASURED PEARL (A Arries) (13.40 lengths, 31/4 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer G B Puller (SACRED IBIS) will be advised that his runner failed to adequately parade and that should this filly behave similarly in future, it may be suspended. f) SACRED BLUES (*K Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
