En-route to the start Jockey Van Der Hoven was dislodged from SHORT SKIRT FLIRT. This filly was taken in hand at the start and was declared fit to race by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. The course medical staff attended to Jockey Van Der Hoven and advised that he was unfit to participate in the race. Jockey J Penny was weighed out and driven to the start where SHORT SKIRT FLIRT was re-saddled. This incident caused a delay to the start of this race. ICON was slow into stride. EVENING BELL was squeezed out shortly after the start. MEGA LEE was stubborn loading. Trainer Adamson was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. CAPTAINS LOVE was hanging out from the 400m proving difficult to assist. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. LADY LEXINGTON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FLORENCE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: CAPTAINS LOVE - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. GIRL GEORGE - in season. Scratched: ATREVETE - coughing. MASTER OF LEGENDS - respiratory disease. VIKING PRINCESS - bruised right front.
