The start of this Race was delayed due to the Veterinary Surgeon having to examine BLACKBURN ROC at the start. LINEKER (AUS) stood losing seven lengths. SOLID GOLD jumped awkwardly ROY'S MAGIC (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The head-band on SOLID GOLD became loose during the running of the Race. Jockey Marcus the rider of BLACKBURN ROC and Jockey Randolph the rider of LINEKER (AUS) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. SOLID GOLD shifted in slightly resulting in ELUSIVE WOLF being inconvenienced on the heels of SOLID GOLD approaching the 300-metre mark. Thereafter ELUSIVE WOLF was switched out to continue his run. Apprentice Arries the rider of SOLID GOLD appeared before the Board with regard to the above incident and was advised to take stronger measures in preventing his mounts from shifting ground in races in future. In view of the Starter's report with regard to LINEKER (AUS), this gelding's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and he was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 13.01.19 to the 19.01.19. LINEKER (AUS) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. SOLID GOLD raced with ear muffs. Vet: BLACKBURN ROC - nothing obvious detected. LINEKER (AUS) - not striding out right hind.
