The start of this Race was delayed due to UNCLE CHARLIE kicking the back gates, was removed from the starting stalls and had to be examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. UNCLE CHARLIE kicked the back gates, removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was reloaded. SOLICITOR GENERAL, MASTER OF THE SEA and PARADISE LOST were restless in the stalls. FIRST CALL was stubborn to load. MASTER OF THE SEA lost one length. UNCLE CHARLIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SOLICITOR GENERAL was hanging in throughout and raced wide throughout. Jockey Godden the rider of SOLICITOR GENERAL reported this gelding choked up in running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride over the final 350 metres. VICTORIOUS MAN shifted outwards away from the crop in the closing stages. MASTER OF THE SEA raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: SOLICITOR GENERAL - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROMANESCA - elevated temperature.
