DALAI'S PROMISE was fractious in the stalls, was taken out examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and reloaded causing a delay. PRINCESS VICKY was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. WATER SPIRIT was slow into stride. In view of the report from the Starter regarding DALAI'S PROMISE, Trainer Fortune was advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. In view of the performance from WATER SPIRIT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. STAR FIGHTER and GOLDEN CHANCE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WATER SPIRIT - returned fatigued.
