MARK THE DOORMAN was fractious in the stalls. In view of the report from the Starter regarding MARK THE DOORMAN, Trainer Spies was advised to have this gelding reschooled before its next engagement. Apprentice Tarentaal, rider of DISMANTLE THE SUN reported that this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. MARK THE DOORMAN raced wide without cover on the bend. OVERBERG brushed the inside running rail which resulted in EPIC having to steady for a number of strides at the 1000m. RIVER THAMES and ENGAGE AND BEWARE (AUS) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DISMANTLE THE SUN - returned making a severe abnormal respiratory noise.
