The start of this Race was delayed due to the late scratching of DUNZIE at the start. INNOCENTLY NAUGHTY threw her down as the start was affected dislodging Jockey Samuel and bolted rider-less. GEOGRAPHE BAY stood losing five lengths. DAYDREAM BELIEVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of GEOGRAPHE BAY and TO WOO the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Jockey Ngwane the rider of TO WOO accidentally dropped the right-side rein approaching the 150-metre mark which he regained shortly thereafter. In view of the Starter's report with regard to INNOCENTLY NAUGHTY and her previous history, this filly's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and she was suspended for a period of 30 days and until such time as she proves tractable with a companion on a race day. Suspension dates: 20.01.2019 to the 18.02.2019. INNOCENTLY NAUGHTY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. In view of the Starter's report with regard to GEOGRAPHE BAY this mare's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and she was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 20.01.2019 to the 26.01.2019. GEOGRAPHE BAY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. MBALI raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. INNOCENTLY NAUGHTY raced with ear muffs. Vet: GEOGRAPHE BAY and TO WOO - nothing obvious detected. Scratched LADY JACKSON and COYOTE GIRL - insufficient recovery time. DUNZIE - not striding out left fore.
