ROCK ME POKEY lifted its left front shoe at the 400m. The Farrier removed the shoe from this filly to avoid injury. thereafter the shoe was refitted at the start. this caused a delay to the start of this race. IM NOT TELLING was bumped out by MEGA LEE which jumped out leaving the stalls. CATCH A GLIMPSE, MISS GENEVA and ROOIDUIN were slow losing one length. Jockey Steyn reported that MEGA LEE did not stride out freely in running. At approximately the 150m, MEGA LEE shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened. TRIPLE IT and TOWARDS THE SUN were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GREAT PROSPERITY and ROCK ME POKEY raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. CATCH A GLIMPSE and IM NOT TELLING raced with tongue ties on. Vet: GEOCENTRIC - wound left front. MEGA LEE - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. MERCER GIRL and IM NOT TELLING - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: SPLAT THE CAT - injured whilst loading.
