THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) RUNNING BRAVE (M Yeni) was stubborn loading.
b) SEVEN PATRIOTS (*J Gates) was stubborn loading. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn.
c) YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (C Maujean), CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (D Schwarz) and DANCE CLASS (*N Klink) were slow losing one length.
d) VICTORIA PAIGE (S Moodley) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths.
e) SUMMER PUDDING (W Kennedy) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SEVEN PATRIOTS, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 29 November 2020 to 5 December 2020. SEVEN PATRIOTS may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer A Azzie advised (PHvdW).
b) RUNNING BRAVE (M Yeni) over-raced in the early and middle stages.
c) At approximately the 1600m, CHARLES (C Murray) when ridden forward to try and secure a position on the inside rail, had to steady when racing into restricted galloping room on the inside of ASTRIX (P Strydom) which shifted in.
When assessing this incident, the Stewards determined that CHARLES had not secured the rightful running on the inside of ASTRIX and deemed this to be a racing incident.
In view of the performance of CHARLES, (betting 10/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d) PACK LEADER (S Khumalo) and CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (D Schwarz) brushed the inside running rail at the 1400m.
e) ZILLZAAL (*L J Ferraris) hung in from the 600m.
f) TREE TUMBO (C Habib) hung out from the 200m.
g) Jockeys C Maujean (YOUCANTHURRYLOVE) and L Hewitson (CORNISH POMODORO) reported that their respective mounts took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses.
h) SUMMER PUDDING (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised (LN).
i) RUNNING BRAVE (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (LB).
j) TREE TUMBO (C Habib), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Nosasa advised (AH).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) TRISTFUL was ridden by Jockey M van Rensburg (declared 24 November 2020 at 07H32).
b) CHRISTOPHER ROBIN was ridden by Jockey D Schwarz (declared 24 November 2020 at 06H54).
c) DANCE CLASS was ridden by Apprentice N Klink (declared 27 November 2020 at 09H00).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) DANCE CLASS raced equipped with blinkers (declared 24 November 2020 at 06H55).
b) TIERRA DEL FUEGO raced with a compression mask (declared 28 November 2020 at 08H25).

a) YOUCANTHURRYLOVE speedy cut left hind.
b) CORNISH POMODORO speedy cut left hind and not striding out left hind.
c) CHARLES fatigued.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
