The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delay. BLAZE OF SILK was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was reloaded. MUTAWAARY (AUS) and EDDIE SWEAT lost one length. BRAVO ZULU lost two lengths. WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CHARLIE-FOX was cramped and eased on the inside of LONDON KNIGHT at approximately the 200-meter mark. At approximately the 150-meter mark WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL shifted in away from the crop. Simultaneously THAT'S LIFE shifted out away from the crop, carrying BRAVO ZULU outwards resulting in both horses making contact and becoming unbalanced. A race review was called into the above incident by a Stipendiary Steward which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer Goosen on behalf of BRAVO ZULU and WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board after hearing the evidence and viewing the patrol video were of the opinion that but for the interference, despite the short-head distance posted by the Judge, BRAVO ZULU would not have beaten WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL who after the incident, had got back up to beat BRAVO ZULU shortly before the finish. Therefore, the objection was over-ruled, Judge's result allowed to stand and the deposit refunded. WENDYLLE raced with a tongue tie. EDDIE SWEAT raced without pacifiers. Scratched: PANZA - lame right hind. YAAS - under Veterinary treatment.
