FINAL ATTEMPT jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Lost two lengths. SEA URCHIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. COLLABRO was hanging out over the final 300 metres. RED SHIFT was momentarily baulked and thereafter was switched in to obtain a clear run at approximately the 200-metre mark. In view of the performances of DUZI MOON, GRADUATE and FINAL ATTEMPT the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. FINAL ATTEMPT was continuously baulked for a clear run inside the final 100 meters. SEA URCHIN was hanging out and shifted out whilst Apprentice Gates attempted to change his crop resulting in GOOD RHYTHM becoming cramped for galloping room at the 50-meter mark. Apprentice Gates the rider of SEA URCHIN appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures in preventing his mounts from shifting ground in races in future. Vet: DUZI MOON, GRADUATE and FINAL ATTEMPT - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: EDGE OF THE SUN - sold without engagement.
