The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delays and the 30-minute gap between races. KOMESHANS FLIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KILMOKEA raced wide into the straight. EAST LYNNE was carried out slightly by KOMESHANS FLIGHT shortly after entering the straight. Thereafter EAST LYNNE and KILMOKEA brushed and were cramped on the outside of KOMESHANS FLIGHT resulting in KILMOKEA being checked along the outside running rail, losing position. MASTER KEYS was hanging in, cramped and eased near the 200-metre mark. Jockey Habib the rider of WAITING FOR CHANGE reported that he felt something amiss with this filly. In view of the performances of IDEAL WINTER and CHAMPAGNE GOLD the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Vet: WAITING FOR CHANGE - nothing obvious detected. IDEAL WINTER - not striding out left hind. CHAMPAGNE GOLD - not string out right fore. Scratched: WHAT A PLAYER - lame left fore.
