MOJITO MAGIC and GOLDEN LION lost one length. During the loading process, JACK'S BACK kicked the back of his stall resulting in TANA'S EAGLE breaking through the front gate. TANA'S EAGLE was restrained by its Rider, returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The starting stall gate of stall gate 9 opened for no apparent reason and was reset. An Inquiry will be opened to establish why MOJITO MAGIC had to steady shortly before the finish line. Jockey Yeni reported that DEWALI made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. SUMMER AFTERNOON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Shortly before the finish line, MOJITO MAGIC had to ease off the heels of SUMMER AFTERNOON which shifted out away from the crop. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board into this incident. After reviewing the patrol films, he decided that this incident had not affected the result of the race and therefore took no further action. JACK'S BACK and BREACH OF TRUST raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. TANA'S EAGLE raced equipped with alumites. Vet: DEWALI - testicular torsion (left).
