There was a delay to the start of the 4th Race as a result of CALL ME TONIGHT having to have a shoe refitted prior to leaving the parade ring. There was a further delay for LEANNA to have a tongue tie and left front shoe refitted at the start. THRU' THE TREES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JUST NATS was hanging out throughout. WHISPERING HILL raced wide in the early stages. AMEX was hanging out over the final 400 metres. INDIAN RAIN was awkwardly placed on the heels of AMEX passing the 400-metre mark. In view of the performances of LEANNA and JUST NATS the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. Jockey Marcus the rider of AMEX reported this filly making an abnormal respiratory noise in running. INDIAN RAIN returned post-race having cast the left hind shoe. Jockey Marcus used his crop with excessive frequency in the closing stages. WHISPERING HILL raced with her tongue tied down. Vet: LEANNA, JUST NATS and AMEX - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ORIENT EXPRESS - insufficient recovery time.
