THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FERRARI ICE (K de Melo) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GRAVITATION (*J Gates) over-raced in the early stages without cover, raced to the front and thereafter compounded in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) At the 100m, LIVING WATERS (W Kennedy) was cramped between ALPHAMIKEFOXTROT (A Marcus), and PHIL'S POWER (C Habib) which tired and rolled out. Jockey C Habib appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to react sooner and more decisively to correct his mounts when they shift ground in races in future. c) Jockey K de Melo (FERRARI ICE) (10.40 lengths) and Jockey D Dillon (LESLIE SHADOWLINER) (5.20 lengths) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of FERRARI ICE on return to stables. e) LIVING WATERS (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer O Mhlamvu acting on behalf of Trainer G H van Zyl advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BOLD MATADOR raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 25.11.20/13h28).
