NORDIC REBEL was slow into stride. LONE SURVIVOR switched out to continue its run at the 300m. Jockey Khumalo reported that DAN THE LAD changed stride in running and became unbalanced shortly before the finish line. As a result of this, Jockey Khumalo was unable to filly assist his mount to the end of the race. Jockey Hewitson reported that BOLD COAST made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. ROYAL ITALIAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BOLD COAST raced with club colors (black and blue). Vet: DAN THE LAD - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. BOLD COAST - not striding out both front. Scratched: POLAR ICE - incorrectly shod. Furthermore, the right front shoe was damaged and not replaceable. ORAPA - injured hip.
