MANA SANTANA was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. SPACE MERCHANT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performances of MANA SANTANA and ITALIAN WAY the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. CAPTAIN IRISH faltered at approximately the 200-meter mark and thereafter was not fully persevered with. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. SPACE MERCHANT shifted out slightly away from a tiring CAPTAIN IRISH at approximately the 350-meter mark resulting in TIAGO REAL being awkwardly placed on the heels of SPACE MERCHANT. MANA SANTANA: The ownership should read: - Messrs K A Ungerer, G B Puller & Miss C A E Steele and the colors are yellow, black v bib, yellow sleeves, black collar and cuffs, yellow cap. (SWE 19.02.19) DUKE'S DOZEN and CAPTAIN IRISH raced with ear muffs. Vet: MANA SANTANA and ITALIAN WAY - nothing obvious detected. CAPTAIN IRISH - tendon tear left fore.
