THE STARTER REPORTED A) SYMBOLISE and FLAME LILLY were slow in stride. B) QUEEN LOUISE was squeezed out. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Jockey M Yeni (QUEEN LOUISE) dropped his crop in the starting stalls. B) SYMBOLISE (M van Rensburg) raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, around the turn and into the straight, SYMBOLISE had to ease when racing onto the heels of PRINCESS ANGELINE (*Y Ramzan). C) Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the non-vigorous nature of his ride on QUEEN LOUISE from the 200m. In this regard, he explained to the Board that, in his opinion, QUEEN LOUISE had failed to stay today's distance of 1900m which it was trying for the first time. Consequently, once this filly had come to the end of its run, he adopted a less vigorous stance in order to afford it the best opportunity to get to the end of the race. The Board noted the explanation of Jockey M Yeni and will monitor QUEEN LOUISE's performances going forward. D) The winner ARION EXPRESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Stable Employee G Venter on behalf of Trainer T J Laing advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) PRINCESS ANGELINE raced quipped with blinkers. B) CHAI and QUEEN LOUISE with alumites in front and unshod behind. THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) ENDLESS CHARM coughed post-race. B) POMOTINA not striding out right front.
