INTERNET KID lost two lengths. THE KING OF RANDOM lost one length. THE KING OF RANDOM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Roberts was questioned regarding the improved performance of THE KING OF RANDOM compared to this gelding's previous performance. Mr Roberts explained that after stumbling at the start and receiving heavy contact from another runner, this gelding had dropped the bit and taken no interest in the Race and that this had in his opinion accounted for the poor performance. The Board reviewed the patrol video of this gelding's previous performance and was satisfied with Mr Roberts' explanation and that THE KING OF RANDOM was ridden on merit. The future performances of this gelding will be monitored. INTERNET KID and PHOEBUS were hanging in throughout. LITHUANIAN'S DREAM was hanging in, in the straight. INTERNET KID was switched in for a clear run near the 250-meter mark. Jockey Khan the rider of PHOEBUS reported this horse not striding out freely in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine PHOEBUS. In view of the performance of LITHUANIAN'S DREAM, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. PHOEBUS raced with steel shoes. Vet: PHOEBUS - not striding out right fore. LITHUANIAN'S DREAM - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: LAUREN OF ROCHELLE - elevated temperature.
