JUMPING CASTLE lost 1 length. OUTSIDE EDGE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Nassif was questioned regarding the improved performance of OUTSIDE EDGE compared to this gelding's previous performances. Mr Nassif could offer no explanation other than that this gelding was having his third race after a five month lay-off. His explanation was noted and the future performances of OUTSIDE EDGE will be monitored. HOPE FOR MILLIONS was pulling hard in the early and middle stages, difficult to restrain. In view of the performance of STEAM HAMMER the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. ROY'S PHYSCO (AUS) was hanging in, shifted in slightly passing the 300-metre mark making contact with OUTSIDE EDGE. Approaching the 50-metre mark ROY'S PHYSCO (AUS) shifted in brushing OUTSIDE EDGE, thereafter OUTSIDE EDGE and ROY'S PHYSCO (AUS) shifted in independently in the closing stages. JUMPING CASTLE raced with his tongue tied down. Vet: STEAM HAMMER - not striding out right fore. Scratched: FASHIONADA - sold without engagement (Trainer - advised 09h10/27.2.2019).
