The start of the 5th Race was delayed as a result of the farrier having to replace the left front shoe on TUULIKKI at the start. SEEK THE SUMMIT lost 2 lengths. HOME RULER lost 1 length. MASTER KEYS and ETERNAL WORDS were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MASTER KEYS was hanging in in the straight, shifted in at approximately the 200-meter mark resulting in TUULIKKI being carried in and awkwardly placed on the heels of PALACE ROSE. Thereafter MASTER KEYS continued to shift in in the closing stages. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. Apprentice Sakayi the rider of SUCH A RUSH reported this filly took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Samuel the rider of FLAMING DESIRE reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. PALACE ROSE raced fitted with ear-muffs. Vet: SUCH A RUSH and FLAMING DESIRE- nothing obvious detected. Scratched: MELA STREGATA - swollen left fore fetlock.
