GINGER ROCK was slow into stride. ON A PROMISE and MY PREROGATIVE fly jumped at the off. WAIT A SEC was nervous in the stalls. EESHARA was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. HURRICANE SASHA was unruly and reared at the off. ELUSIVE FOUNTAIN jumped awkwardly and refused to gallop. A race review was called into the start of this race regarding HURRICANE SASHA drawn in stall gate 15. It was established that this filly had become fractious in the starting stalls and had reared as the start was affected. The Stipendiary Board was of the view that the loss of ground by this horse was as a consequence of its own behavior and therefore declared HURRICANE SASHA to be a runner. In view of the Starter's report with regard to HURRICANE SASHA, this filly's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and she was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable to jump on terms. Suspension dates: 15.03.19 to 21.03.19. HURRICANE SASHA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. The nose band of MAID SO FAR became loose at the 300m and detached at the 150m. Work Rider's Naki, rider of ELUSIVE FOUNTAIN and Feni, rider of MY PREROGATIVE respectively appeared before the Board, were shown the patrol film of the race and advised against the practice of using the crop whilst out of contention for a place. Work Rider Mkhwambi appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised against the practice of performing any celebratory gesture before his horse has crossed the finish line. An inquiry will be opened into Work Rider Bam's ride of DESERT WANDERER in the concluding stages. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning PRINCESS BLITZ, this filly was suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. MELANDIA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PRINCESS BLITZ - bilateral Epistaxis, recommended 60 days' suspension. HURRICANE SASHA - coughing. MY PREROGATIVE - cast right fore shoe.
