HIDDEN POWER, CHAPEL CLEEVE, THE DONEGAL MAN and ONE DESTINY were slow into stride. IN THE NAVY kicked the back gate in the stalls. GRAVITATION and MASTER DESIGN were nervous in the stalls. The saddle on CHAPEL CLEEVE slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. BRIGADOON ELY raced green in running. In view of the performance of CAPTAIN CARLOS, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. At approximately the 1200m, ENGADINE was brushed out by GRAVITATION which over raced in the early stages. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning CHAPEL CLEEVE, this gelding was suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Jockey Agrella appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his ride on ONE DESTINY. Jockey Agrella's attention was drawn in particular, to the non-vigorous nature of his ride between the 300m and the 250m. Jockey Agrella explained to the Board that this horse has a history of behavioural issues in that this colt, has a tendency to duck and at times turn around. Mr Agrella explained to the Board that in the running between the 300m and 250m, this colt was hanging out and had the bit awkwardly positioned in its mouth. Consequently, Mr Agrella, elected to ride less vigorously between the 300m and 250m in order to allow this horse the opportunity to regain its action before riding it out vigorously to the end of the race. Trainer Bremner appeared before the Board and confirmed this horse's behavioral issues. She was advised to take all reasonable measures in order to ensure that these behavioral issues do not affect the performance of this colt in future. MASTER DESIGN and DAY'S OF THUNDER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPTAIN CARLOS - abnormal respiratory noise and not striding out in front. CHAPEL CLEEVE - bilateral Epistaxis, recommended 60 days' suspension. ONE DESTINY - not striding out in front. HIDDEN POWER - abnormal respiratory noise.
