The start of this race was delayed due to WOLVES AMONG SHEEP proving difficult to load. WOLVES AMONG SHEEP was difficult to load. Trainer Stidolph was advised to re-school this gelding. Jockey Habib, the rider of WOLVES AMONG SHEEP, reported that he felt something amiss with his mount in running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this gelding. In the concluding stages YARRAMAN was carried in by PENNY FROM HEAVEN which was hanging in from the 300m. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident, however after reviewing the patrol film in the presence of Jockey Munger and Trainer Fisher, all parties elected to take no further action. Jockey W Marwing appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race, and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. PENNY FROM HEAVEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BUSH PILOT and LEVEN POINT raced in steels. Vet: WOLVES AMONG SHEEP - sweating heavily post-race but did not appear distressed. Scratched: IN THE MOOD - lame left hind.
