EAST LYNNE was stubborn to load. MISS SMARTY PANTS and SWEET MARY LOU were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LAAT LAMMETJIE (AUS) over-raced in the early and middle stages. PARABOLA was cramped and steadied entering the straight. GRECIAN LAUREL was hanging in, in the straight. Jockey Kennedy, the rider of EAST LYNNE, reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in the closing stages and as a result he did not persevere with his ride. In view of the performances of KOMESHANS FLIGHT and GRECIAN LAUREL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. Vet: KOMESHANS FLIGHT - nothing obvious detected. EAST LYNNE and GRECIAN LAUREL - not striding out left fore.
