The start of this Race was delayed due to the tongue tie on CAVIVAR having to be refitted at the start and this filly proving stubborn loading. CAVIVAR was stubborn loading. Trainer Tarry was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. FROSTED GOLD (NZ) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. LOOK TO THE SKY, ANATOLIO and WAIMEA lost 1 length. Jockey Maujean, rider of ARAPAHO, and Jockey Hewitson, rider of CAVIVAR, reported that their respective mounts made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. TWILIGHT MOON and FROSTED GOLD (NZ) were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Schwarz, whilst riding the horse TWILIGHT MOON, made a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line. Vet: ARAPAHO - abnormal respiratory noise. RING OF FIRE - blowing. CAVIVAR - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected.
