Light rain fell prior to and during the running of this Race. The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous race delay. Due to a technical fault with the starting stalls, the start of this Race was affected manually. SOLSBURY HILL was slow into stride. GIBRALTAR GREEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Approaching the 350m, MARK TAPLEY shifted out carrying MERLIN FROM BERLIN outwards and placing MERLIN FROM BERLIN awkwardly on heels. This resulted in MERLIN FROM BERLIN having to ease for a number of strides. Jockey Mgudlwa failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MERLIN FROM BERLIN passing the 350m. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. The right-side stirrup leather on GIBRALTAR GREEN broke shortly after the finish. As a result of this Jockey Kennedy's saddle equipment was inspected by the Board and was found to be in an acceptable condition. In view of the performance of SECRET DYNASTY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. SILVER CENT raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: SECRET DYNASTY - nothing obvious detected.
