EXQUISITE TOUCH pulled its left front shoe en-route to the start. She was attended to by the course farrier. This mare proved stubborn and it took the farrier multiple attempts to replace her shoe. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. DONNY G jumped inwards leaving the stalls. TRIP TO HEAVEN and ATTENBOROUGH were slow losing one length. KISSABLE was hanging in from the 400m. At approximately the 200m, SPEEDPOINT had to steady when awkwardly placed between ISPHAN, which shifted out marginally away from the crop, and PINNACLE PEAK, which was hanging in from the 300m. Jockey Lerena reported that REBEL'S CHAMP was blowing in running. TRIP TO HEAVEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GREAT SHAKA raced without cheek pieces. Vet: REBEL'S CHAMP - no respiratory noise detected post-race. KISSABLE - abnormal respiratory noise.
