ROSE DANCER lost one length. ELNORA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Marcus, the rider of DUCHESSOFCORNWALL, reported this filly not striding out freely in running and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine DUCHESSOFCORNWALL. CERSEI raced green. Approaching the 50m ELNORA shifted out from the crop and thereafter shifted out carrying ROSE DANCER outwards onto HOPSKIPANDJUMP. This resulted in ROSE AND DANCER and HOPSKIPANDJUMP making contact and HOPSKIPANDJUMP being awkwardly placed on heels. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey Veale on behalf of ROSE DANCER, against the winner ELNORA, on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board after hearing the evidence presented by both sets of connections, and viewing the patrol video of this incident, was of the view that despite the incident complained of as well as the distance between these two horses at the finish, the Board could not be certain that ROSE DANCER would have beaten ELNORA. Therefore, the Objection was over-ruled, the Judge's result allowed to stand and the deposit refunded. An Inquiry was opened into the interference suffered by ROSE DANCER and HOPSKIPANDJUMP in the closing stages. BLING A DING DING raced with a tongue tie.
