STAR IN THE SKY lost 1 length. PETRA was slow into stride. LANARK was restless and reared in the stalls. HEART OF A LEGEND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Ferraris, the rider of OOH LA LA reported this filly not striding out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Moodley, the rider of CALL ME WINTER, reported this mare took no interest in running. SAMSARA was squeezed out shortly after the start and thereafter raced on the wrong leg and hung out, ducked outwards at approximately the 1200 meter mark carrying LANARK outwards for a number of strides. CALL ME WINTER raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind. Vet: OOH LA LA and CALL ME WINTER - nothing obvious detected. STAR IN THE SKY - post race distress. Scratched: AZKUR - elevated temperature.
