The start of this Race was delayed due to the pre-race events running over time and CASHEL PALACE proving reluctant to canter to the start. CAMPHORATUS was slow into stride. Permission was granted for GHAALLA to proceed directly to the start from the back-parade ring. CASHEL PALACE proved reluctant to canter to the start. Trainer Laird was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. An inquiry will be opened into the interference suffered by AL DANZA, CASHEL PALACE and CELTIC SEA at approximately the 1400m. An inquiry will be opened to establish why OH SUSANNA (AUS) had to ease in the concluding stages. An inquiry will be opened into Jockey Habib's use of the crop on RUNNING BRAVE in the concluding stages. REDBERRY LANE raced to the front and tired badly from the 300m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. FRESNAYE and FLYING FABLE came together and brushed on a number of occasions from the 300m to the 150m. CAMPHORATUS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CASCAPEDIA (IRE) - abnormal respiratory noise. REDBERRY LANE - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. CASHEL PALACE - respiratory distress.
