POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) proved difficult to load. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) proved difficult to load. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding was withdrawn. MIGHTY VALDIE was slow into stride. VISIGOTH jumped inwards. In view of the Starter's report with regard to POWERED BEAUTY (AUS), this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls with a companion. POWERED BEAUTY (AUS) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. In view of the performance from FIRE AND RESCUE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer Laird was requested to report back on the condition of FIRE AND RESCUE on return to stables. Jockey Danielson appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised to ride his mounts out to the end of a race with sufficient determination and vigour so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. TOP RANK was squeezed out shortly after the start. MAJOR RETURN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: FIRE AND RESCUE - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected.
