ANCESTRY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start. CELESTIAL PRINCE was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. The start of this Race was delayed to facilitate the second ambulance to take up its position. Jockey Fayd'Herbe, rider of ANCESTRY, reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. TROOP THE COLOUR was continually baulked for a clear run until the 150m. In view of the performance from SILVER DE LANGE, which tired quickly over the final 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. BOLD ASSASSIN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ANCESTRY - examined at the start and declared fit to race. ANCESTRY - returned not striding out on the left hind. SILVER DE LANGE - examined post-race and no significant findings were detected. Scratched: SUPER DINO (AUS) - coughing.
