MADONNA was nervous in the stalls. Jockey Yeni reported that JUST CALL ME ANGEL was not striding out freely in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 300m. JALEIKA compounded from the 200m and Jockey Cheyne did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. Jockey Fayd'Herbe appeared before the Board and was shown the patrol films of the race. Jockey Fayd'Herbe's attention was drawn to the frequency of which he had used his crop in the concluding stages. Mr Fayd'Herbe was reprimanded and was advised of the need to allow his mounts enough time to respond when he uses his crop. Jockey Fayd'Herbe was further advised that should there be a similar occurrence in future, a more severe penalty may be imposed. MADONNA and SNAPSCAN were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JUST CALL ME ANGEL - not striding out right front.
