ISCA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WINTER BLUES shifted in near the 800-metre mark carrying DI MAZZIO (AUS) inwards resulting in DI MAZZIO (AUS) and FILIPPO making contact and DI MAZZIO (AUS) having to be eased. Apprentice Gumede failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his inside at approximately the 800-meter mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. CALVARY shifted out approaching the 200-meter mark and thereafter was corrected and shifted in slightly carrying RONNIE ROCKET inwards and thereafter inconveniencing RONNIE ROCKET. Jockey Kennedy the rider of ISCA accidentally dropped his crop approaching the 50-meter mark. Jockey Marcus the rider of CHANTYMAN reported this gelding making an abnormal respiratory noise in running. In view of the performance of CALVARY the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: CHANTYMAN - abnormal respiratory noise post-race. CALVARY - coughing. Scratched: WHORLY WHORLY - no transport. MARSHALL THAT - swollen left hind.
