KING OF PROMISE, COASTAL STORM and SPORT CHIC were nervous in the stalls. MY PREROGATIVE fly jumped leaving the stalls, was slow away and lost 1 length. Jockey Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with MY BOY JACK in the running. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MY BOY JACK, this colt was suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Jockey Khathi struck the horse MY PREROGATIVE unnecessarily when she was out of contention for a place. Trainer Kaknis appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of ON A PROMISE. In this regard, Trainer Kaknis could provide no suitable explanation. Consequently, his attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running and was cautioned that should ON A PROMISE not maintain the requisite consistency of form herein, she may be suspended. ON A PROMISE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. COASTAL STORM raced without a tongue tie. Vet: MY BOY JACK - bilateral epistaxis, 60 days suspension.
