SUN ON SAND, BELLE OF PARIS and MY WISH lost one length. ZAGARA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The saddle on MY WISH slipped forward in the early stages resulting in Apprentice Ramzan being unable to fully assist this filly thereafter. RIVERBOAT BELLE was hanging in and compounded in the closing stages. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Brown the rider of INDIAN RAIN reported this filly took no interest in running. Jockey Randolph used his crop when this filly was out of contention in the closing stages. Vet: RIVERBOAT BELLE - not striding out right hind. INDIAN RAIN - fatigued, not striding out right fore. Scratched: JER - elevated temperature.
