THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NORDIC REBEL (*L J Ferraris) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer E Verdonese advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey L Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with SHENANIGANS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to NORDIC REBEL, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 11.12.20 to the 17.12.20. NORDIC REBEL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer E Verdonese advised. c) GOLDEN PHEASANT (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, was advised (AH). d) FINCHATTON (C Murray), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
